Description
The composition depicts a street on a rainy night, the lights emanating from buildings and the restaurant on the left providing a warm contrast. The atmosphere is similar to the print Araki Yokocho at Yotsuya by Tsuchiya Koitsu too. The same street was depicted by Noel Nouet, providing a useful point of comparison to compare the latter's unique pencil style with the more mainstream style of Koitsu.
