Shunho
Almost nothing is known about Shunho. This might be because the design he is well known for, Chusho Osaka, was possibly a knockoff of Kawase Hasui's Evening at Soemoncho, Osaka. In that case Shunho might not even exist as a separate woodblock print artist. Another possibility is that Shunho was simply a pseudonym for another artist, used to hide the fact that said artist worked for Baba Nobuhiko. And finally of course, he might have been a true woodblock print artist, but one of whom simply little is known, as is true for quite a few Shin-hanga artists. Given that all his designs heavily draw upon those of other artists, the first explanation, that the moniker was used to publish knock-off designs, seems the most likely one. As Baba Nobuhiko was a well-established woodblock print publisher, the resulting designs are still of very good quality.
