Shoichi Kitamura – Eagle

Original woodblock print, hand-signed by the artist. First published in 2022. The current print was printed in 2022.

The design of this print is a photograph, then carved into woodblocks and printed by Shoichi Kitamura. As such, this print departs from the more traditional process, where the original design is done by an artist. It is the second print of the Foto-Hanga series, of which the prints are all made in this way.

This is the third design of this series. As with the other two designs, Shoichi Kitamura once again strives to outdo photography with a superbly detailed print.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.0 * 24.0 cm (14.2 * 9.4 in).

The print is in excellent condition.
