Description
Ishiwata Koitsu is often confused with Kawase Hasui or Tsuchiya Koitsu, and some even think that he is the same as one of those. The confusion arises in part from this very print. In some editions the artist seal of Kawase Hasui was used for it. It is unclear why this change was made. Other confusion might simply be the result of Tsuchiya Koitsu having both a similar name and being active in the same period for sometimes the same publisher. According to most sources, Ishiwata Koitsu is simply a separate artist, however.
Condition notes
The print is in excellent condition. At two places there are minor creases in the margins. On the back there is a note in pencil.
