Description

A Tokyo street in the evening, with warmth and light radiating from a restaurant on the left, from various buildings and from a number of lanterns. As always with prints by Noël Nouët, the style is distinctly different from other Shin-hanga artists due to his use of pencil. The same street was depicted in the print Ushigome Kagurazaka by Tsuchiya Koitsu, providing an excellent point of departure to compare their styles. Interestingly, the atmosphere of the street they captured seems to be very similar.
