Description

The print shows Mount Fuji as seen from Fujiyoshida, a small town nearby that has been built on top of old hardened lava from Mount Fuji itself. The houses look small against the backdrop of the imposing Mount Fuji. Before it, an endearing figure is standing, with, close to it, an even smaller child, surrounded by, most likely, family, civilization and nature at the same time. Even though the figures look tiny within this composition, it exudes warmth, with an inviting light radiating from the house towards them.

Condition notes

The print is in very good condition. On the verso there are two remnants of a previous mounting, possibly to its original presentation folder.
