Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1889.
Image size (excluding margins): 33.2 * 22.5 cm (13.1 * 8.9 in).
The print is in fair state. There is water damage in the lower left of the print. There is some soiling and browning, mainly around the edges of the print. Remnants of a previous mounting or attaching to a folder remain on the back and are visible on the front as well. The central part of the print remains in good state however.

Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839 – 1892) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. He worked in a time when modern techniques like photography where diminishing the importance of woodblock prints as a medium, but kept innovating and helped to succeed in keeping woodblock printing alive. While doing this, he produced some of the best prints of his era. His most well known series are One Hundred Aspects of the Moon and New Forms of Thirty-Six Ghosts.
