Tsuchiya Koitsu – Fuji from Mitsuhama in Nishiizu

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1936. The current print was printed between 1970 and 1980.

Image size (excluding margins): 25.5 * 18.0 cm (10.0 * 7.1 in).

The print is in good state, but there are a couple of spots due to aging. In the image at least to the right of Mount Fuji and in the middle-left next to the margin.

Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. He is known for his high-quality Shin hanga prints, excelling in the depiction of light and shadow and the expression of mood.
