Description
The composition is reminiscent of Morning at Niju Bridge, a much earlier Shin-hanga woodblock print by Kawase Hasui, possibly due to the way the sun colors the sky in the background. As always, on closer inspection, the prints are neither alike in composition nor in techniques, and the similarity between Koichi Maeda and Kawase Hasui really lies in the experience their woodblock prints evoke instead.
Condition notes
The print is in very good condition. There are wrinkles in the left margin, extending slightly into the image. There are also two irregularities in the left corners, as if the print has been clipped at some point.
