Koho Shoda – Mount Asama

Japanese woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published circa 1920. The current print was printed in the Showa period (1926 – 1989).

Image size (excluding margins): 22.8 * 35.5 cm (9.0 * 14.0 in).

The print is in very good state. The paper has aged and is wavy, but less visible then the pictures suggest.

Koho Shoda (1871 – 1946) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. His prints exemplified the spirit of the Shin-hanga movement and are widely sought after to this day.
