Description
In this rare design Kobayashi Kiyochika shows his mastery of night scenes, with light here coming from a house, a lantern, many fireflies, and reflections in the water. Woodblock print artists before him had depicted nocturnal subjects, yet none managed to capture darkness as convincingly as Kiyochika.
Condition notes
The print is in very good condition. On the back there is a label and small notes in pencil. There is no centerfold.
