Kawarazaki Shodo – Coquelicot (Shodo Kawarazaki – Hinageshi)

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1958. The current print is from the first edition.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.3 * 24.2 cm (14.3 * 9.5 in).

The print is in good state. There is a wrinkle in the middle of the top of the image, and one in the middle of the bottom of the image. There are a few small spots in the margins and an irregularity in the lower right corner of the image. On the back, remnants of a previous mounting remain.

Kawarazaki Shodo (1889-1973) was a painter and woodblock artist. He designed many flower prints for publisher Unsodo, that are still popular today.
