Hiroshige – Kogane Fields in Shimosa Province (Utagawa Hiroshige – Shimosa Koganehara)
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1858. The current print is from a posthumous edition.
Image size (excluding margins): 33.2 * 22.0 cm (13.1 * 8.7 in).
The print is in fair state. Its margins have been trimmed, with some loss of image on the left margin, and there are two holes inside of the image in the upper right side. There is some mild soiling in the image, mainly visible in the sky above the horse.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.

Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 – 1858) was one of the most famous Japanese woodblock print artists, considered the last great ukiyo-e master. He has had a lasting impact on both Japanese print artists as well as on Western painters such as Van Gogh and Monet and his prints are still widely admired to this day.
