Yoshitoshi Tsukioka (1839-1892) – Moon of the Lonely House
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1890. The current print was printed in the late 19th century, or early 20th century.
Publisher: Akiyama Buemon
Series: One Hundred Aspects of the Moon
Image size (excluding margins): 32.2 * 22.3 cm (12.7 * 8.8 in).
The print is in good state. The paper has aged. There is a spot a little above the lower margin, slightly to the left of the middle. There is a very tiny hole in the lower left of the image, with a diameter of less then 1mm, but detectable when holding the print against bright light. On the back there is a note in pencil and remnants of an earlier mounting remain.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.
