Utagawa Kuniyoshi – Hosokute, Horikoshi Dairyo

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1852. The current print was printed in the Edo period (1603 – 1868).

Image size (excluding margins): 35.7 * 23.8 cm (14.1 * 9.4 in).

The print is in fair state. There is a horizontal centerfold, there are two small holes in the paper in the cartouche, on the back two small pieces of supporting paper have been attached to each side of the centerfold, there is a note in pencil and its margins have been trimmed. All that notwithstanding, the image itself is very good and the colors have been retained well.
