Tsuchiya Koitsu – Ushigome Kagurazaka
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1939. The current print was printed in the Heisei period (1989 – 2019).
A nice street on a rainy night, with the lights coming from buildings and the restaurant on the left providing a warm contrast. The atmosphere is similar to the print Araki Yokocho at Yotsuya by Tsuchiya Koitsu too. The same street was depicted by Noel Nouet, providing a nice way to compare the latters unique pencil style with the more mainstream style of Tsuchiya Koitsu.
Image size (excluding margins): 39.0 * 26.0 cm (15.4 * 10.2 in).
The print is in excellent condition.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.
