Tsuchiya Koitsu – Sunset at Tomonotsu Inland Sea
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1940.
Image size (excluding margins): 36.2 * 24.2 cm (14.3 * 9.5 in).
The print is in good condition. On the back at three places remnants of a previous mounting remain. These shine through at the front of the print, with one visible on the right edge inside the image itself as well. There is slight matburn in the image, mainly visible on the right.

Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. He is known for his high-quality Shin hanga prints, excelling in the depiction of light and shadow and the expression of mood.
