Tsuchiya Koitsu – Lake Kawaguchi

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1933. The current print was printed after 1996.

Image size (excluding margins): 25.8 * 39.3 cm (10.2 * 15.5 in).

The print shows signs of aging, with a brown spot noticable next to Mount Fuji, below in the margin and with some discoloration in the clowd right to the Mount Fuji.

Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. He is known for his high-quality Shin hanga prints, excelling in the depiction of light and shadow and the expression of mood.
