Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) – Kyoto Maruyama (Doi)
Original woodblock print. First published circa 1930s. The current print was printed in the Showa period (1926 – 1989).
The current design is the postcard version of one of Tsuchiya Koitsu’s most popular designs, Spring Snow, Kyoto Maruyama, in oban format.
There is also a similar postcard-sized design, but with one female figure instead of three, published by Takemura. The current postcard design is much closer in atmosphere to the oban-size Spring Snow design.
Image size (excluding margins): 13.8 * 9.0 cm (5.4 * 3.5 in).
The print is in very good state. On the back there is a note in pencil.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.
