Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1935. The current print was printed in the Reiwa period (2019 – present).
Tsuchiya Koitsu designed many woodblock prints of landscapes, but also made a number of great city scenes. The current print is one of them, and shows a warm and nicely lit teahouse in the evening or night.

Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. He is known for his high-quality Shin hanga prints, excelling in the depiction of light and shadow and the expression of mood.
