Tsuchiya Koitsu – A Midnight Scene at Atami
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1939. The current print was printed in the Showa period (1926 – 1989).
Image size (excluding margins): 36.2 * 23.9 cm (14.3 * 9.4 in).
The print is in fair state. Its backing has been partially removed, but part remains, and leftover glue remains at other parts. The paper in the margins is damaged at various places, with a few small tears and paper splits, and slightly colored in the right margin. The paper is wavy and there are a few very faint wrinkles inside the image visible under strong light, but the image itself is nearly unaffected by all of the above, and remains very good.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.
