Ohara Koson – Carp and Water Plants

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1926. The current printed was printed circa 1930s.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.3 * 24.1 cm (14.3 * 9.5 in).

The print is in good state. The paper has browned inside the image, as can be seen at the very right of the image where the browning is absent. There are irregularities in the paper at the top, mainly in the top left corner of the image, and in the middle of the top where two white wrinkles extend into the image vertically. The paper has thinned in the two upper corners, probably due to removal of an earlier mounting. On the back there is a note in pencil.
