An elegant and timeless alley. The sky is clear, but the umbrella and elongated shadows are some indications that this might indeed be one of the first days of autumn. As is often the case with the prints of Nishijima Katsuyuki , there are no strong indications of the wider period or circumstances the scenery can be placed in, enabling it to create a timeless beauty, highlighting the recurring flow of places through the day and seasons.
