A calm village street, leading to a small bridge. The trees and soft sunlight suggest spring, or perhaps the beginning of summer. The noren in the door of the building in the back seem to move gently in the wind. For some, the scene might invite to take a walk through the village. Typical for Katsuyuki Nishijjima’s woodblock prints however, no one is there to be seen, leaving it to the viewer of the print to enjoy the beauty and calmness of the scene created by him.
