Koho Shoda (1871-1946) – A Stone-Lantern on the Seashore

Japanese woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published circa 1920. The current print was printed in the Showa period (1926 – 1989).

Image size (excluding margins): 22.7 * 35.8 cm (8.9 * 14.1 in).

The print is in good state. The paper has aged. There a slight wrinkles in the margin.

Koho Shoda (1871 – 1946) was a Japanese woodblock print artist. His prints exemplified the spirit of the Shin-hanga movement and are widely sought after to this day.
