Kawase Hasui – Springtime Evening, Ote Gate (Hasui Kawase – Otemon no haru no yugure)

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1952. The current print is from an early, lifetime edition. It carries the Watanabe 6mm seal in the lower right corner.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.3 * 24.2 cm (14.3 * 9.5 in).

The print is in fair state. It has discolored somewhat, as can be seen on the right, where the colors of the outside of the image are much closer to the original colors. The paper has aged and on the back remnants of a previous mount can be seen, shining through at the margins in the front.
