Kawarazaki Shodo – Hyacinth

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1963. The current print is from the first edition.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.5 * 24.5 cm (14.4 * 9.6 in).

The print is in fair state. There is soiling and a number of spots. There is some discoloratioin, visible at the edges of the image where a previous mat has been. At the very edge of the print there are some foxing spots.

Kawarazaki Shodo (1889-1973) was a painter and woodblock artist. He designed many flower prints for publisher Unsodo, that are still popular today.
