Kawarazaki Shodo – Forsythia

Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published circa 1960. The current print was printed in the 20th century, 2nd half.

Image size (excluding margins): 36.2 * 24.0 cm (14.3 * 9.4 in).

The print is in very good state. There are foxing spots in the lower margin, outside of the image, and on the back remnants of a previous mounting remain.

Kawarazaki Shodo (1889-1973) was a painter and woodblock artist. He designed many flower prints for publisher Unsodo, that are still popular today.
