Hiroshige – Kanagawa: View Over the Sea from the Veranda of the Teahouse
Original woodblock print. The first edition of this design was published in 1855. The current print was printed in the 19th century, 2nd half.
Image size (excluding margins): 34.2 * 22.5 cm (13.5 * 8.9 in).
The print is in fair state. There are small spots of damage to the paper in the sky, showing as white spots, to the left of the moon and below the seals of the upper right corner. The left margin has been removed and a new one was added later, which has a few pinholes as well. Very mild soiling inside of the image.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.

Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 – 1858) was one of the most famous Japanese woodblock print artists, considered the last great ukiyo-e master. He has had a lasting impact on both Japanese print artists as well as on Western painters such as Van Gogh and Monet and his prints are still widely admired to this day.
