Hiroshi Yoshida – Plum Gateway
Original woodblock print, hand-signed by the artist. First published in 1935. The current print is from a lifetime edition.
Image size (excluding margins): 37.3 * 24.8 cm (14.7 * 9.8 in).
The print is in fair state. The paper has yellowed, as can be seen at the outer edges where the paper has not yellowed, probably due to cover by a mat. There are a number of strong horizontal wrinkles in the lower part of the image, including loss of color and strong thinning of the paper to the right of the rightmost woman. There is a pinhole in the left margin and a number in pencil.
The pictures shown here are from the print itself.
